Curation: Making Sense of Digital Information Really good post about making sense of curation and the calling of being a good curator. I really like the curator definition: The Curator seeks to encourage, promote, and uncover those artifacts of culture – those things which humans create – that inspire and embody truth, goodness, and beauty. We do this through considering and grappling with the zeitgeist. That’s why curation has made some headway these last few years. With the rise of digital content there is a big need to find and promote those great artifacts of culture. Think about your market or the people in your target market. What type of things would they find lasting? What type of content would they want you to uncover that would encourage them or inspire them? That’s really what good content curation should do for your business and your market. Take the Perspective of Your Market Take the perspective of a prospect in your market. What type of things do they see? What type of information do they find overwhelming? Is there an opportunity there to provide some clarity? Could you do that with curation while adding your own perspective? Once again, get into the mind and position of someone on the other side of your product or service. When they are in the seeking mode and looking for a solution what type of content do they come across. Could you provide a go to resource that would answer the top objections or questions? Answering these types of questions is what makes a great curator.
